One-bedroom apartment in a new building with a total area of 87.3 sq.m became the space for the architect's work. Owners didn’t like the original layout because of the functionality of the living space and little amount of natural light. In order to use of the total area more rationally, it was decided to change the layout, with the essential allocation of a common guest area and two bedrooms - for parents and a child.
Interior walls of the living room, kitchen and part of the bathroom were dismantled. The chance to add loggia space to the living quarters made it possible to equip a kitchen area there. A children's room was organized in place of the former living room. More space of the hallway and part of the former kitchen has become a common lounge area for the whole family. As a result of replanning and the creation of new functional areas, we got a full-fledged two-bedroom apartment, with separate bedrooms and a public area of the living room and kitchen.
As for style, the designer’s decisions were completely based on the wishes of the clients, and he created an interior in a modern style, filled with the spirit of urban respectability. The dominance of dark elements, expensive finishes and textures made it possible to create an interior with a mysterious character. The lack of natural light is played up by interesting lighting solutions and a visual expansion of the space. A spectacular play of light is achieved thanks to the main chandeliers, floor lamps and built-in lighting.
