AVANT-GARDE

Avant-garde is an artistic and architectural style that emerged at the beginning of the 20th century due to the revolutionary moods prevailing among the youth of that time. Avant-garde style abandons the classical, traditional canons and creates new modern forms, in sync with the mood prevailing in society. People began to create new forms that sometimes yelled about their mood.

When we talk about avant-garde, we mean action and energy, since each room made in this style has its individual character. It reflects not only the inner world of its owner, but also conveys their striving for development. Avant-garde will appeal to a person with an original taste and non-standard thinking, who prefers freedom and independence in everything.

If you are an extraordinary creative person who is able to think outside the box, then this style is for you.
Color and form, contrasting with each other play the main role in avant-garde interior. The style features bright and pure colors such as white, black, red, yellow, green. It is allowed to use several contrasting colors in one room at the same time. It is believed that this adds dynamics and expression to the interior.

Contrast is one of the main features that characterize avant-garde. In this style, completely incompatible objects and materials can be combined. You can mix, match, combine any colors you like, the main thing is not to cross the line between flashiness, brightness and bad taste. Ideally, colors should form an organic ensemble.

In avant-garde style, the contrast method is used not only among walls, floors and ceilings. The contrast method is used even in the design of walls: one wall can be decorated in completely different colors or one wall is done in one color and the other one in a different color. For example, a black wall in front of a white one. A black armchair is placed near a white wall and a lamp with a light shade are located against a black wall. Or, maybe, all four walls of the room are of different colors: yellow, orange, red and cherry.

Any materials are suitable for interior decoration in avant-garde style, but modern, latest finishing materials will look especially advanced: glass wall papers, decorative plasters, metallized wallpapers, suspended ceilings, new paint compositions, laminate coatings.

Avant-garde furniture is characterized by unexpected solutions in shapes and decor, an unusual combination of materials that resembles a work of modern art rather than utilitarian household product. Every detail must be special. At the same time, all pieces of furniture are highly functional. For example, a table can be pulled out of a niche in the wall.
The shape of the furniture can be strictly geometric, with clear contours, but without unnecessary details and small decor. Wooden, metal, or glass Furniture is perfect. Avant-garde interior will look good with modern wardrobes, plasma and LCD TV screens, computer monitors, tables, chairs, beds and other metal items.

When designing curtains, you shouldn’t be afraid of experimenting. Colors should be bright, contrasting with the walls. Materials for curtains must be modern. In both furniture and in curtains small details and simple finishes should be avoided.

For lighting the room it’s better to use light bulbs built into the ceiling niches. Such lighting adds intimacy to your interior, especially in bedrooms and living rooms design.
