TROPICAL STYLE

Desiring to take a break from the wild pace of modern life, we often go on vacation to hot countries, closer to the shores of the warm sea. The desired vacation is not always possible to afford though. Designers are sure that the atmosphere of tranquility and bliss of tropical islands can be felt in an ordinary city apartment. It is enough to design it in a tropical style. A slight touch of exotic, calmness and closeness to nature - such interior literally radiates warmth and invites you to relax.

Tropical interior style harmoniously combines traditional and exotic elements into one. This style entwines simplicity and elegance, elegant decor and ethnic materials related to the culture of the states located in the Pacific region. Exotic and bright, this interior style will appeal to people who are not indifferent to an active lifestyle, exotic things and the Brazilian carnival.

A tropical interior is rich in colors - bright red, dark green, orange, shades of blue, diluted with light pastel tones - ivory, light yellow, soft golden. The ideal solution would be to use a neutral color scheme for the background and catchy color to accentuate details. All variations are almost universal, but the main condition is to create a feeling of airiness and lightness in internal space.

Wicker texture is popular in Tropical style, revealing the true beauty of natural materials. Traditional materials are sisal and jute, but it would be quite appropriate to use bamboo or rattan furniture. It would be nice to choose coarse sisal carpets for floor. Choosing textiles, one better give preference to natural materials such as linen, cotton or silk. Transparent fabrics, chiffon or gauze will bring lightness and freshness to an interior. Fabrics colors can be the juiciest, and the patterns can be floral, wavy or strict lines. A good solution would be a large ornament with clear outlines. However, as in any other style, the main rule is not to overdo it, but to harmoniously combine shades to get a tropical cocktail.

Decorating a bedroom in Tropical style, pay special attention to a bed. The most suitable option would be a large bed with a romantic translucent canopy, that you can make yourself or buy in a store.

A ceiling fan can become an original item in a tropical interior. They are vital in hot climates, and in a stylized interior of your home they will create a feeling of free air circulation and a breath of sea breeze.

One of the secrets of creating a tropical style home is to have lush greenery in pots. Don’t be limited only to deciduous plants, consider also flowering ones, such as hibiscus or bougainvillea.
