CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary (from English contemporary - modern) – an interior style of the late XX - early XXI century. It originated from Scandinavian style in the idea of mass production of furniture and household items at affordable prices.

Contemporary style includes all new design solutions popular today, while it doesn’t reflect a specific style. Furnishings are a neutral basis for any decor fantasy. That’s why Contemporary most often serves as a backdrop for interior interpretations of ethno, classics, pop art or retro.

Bright details and accessories, collections of paintings and sculptures, unusual lamps, textiles, finishing materials - all this opens up scope for the most bizarre stylizations and makes the Contemporary look alive and eclectic.

Contemporary is a style of adaptations, it craftily creates the spirit of historical styles in modern interiors from baroque to modern, due to expressive details and decorative elements. Contemporary style is devoid of obvious pertaining to past historical eras, it only reminds of them, softening the pronounced accents of a particular style, combining modern trends with the spirit of the recent past, making interiors traditional.

The variety of decor gives way to light and elegant silhouettes created by proportionally adjusted clean lines. Elements of various ethnic and classical forms can be seen in those lines. At the same time, Contemporary interior style is a new alternative that meets the modern requirements of comfort, simplicity, functionality and accessibility.

The main features of Contemporary:
- neutrality and simplicity;
- convenience, conciseness and functionality;
- clear shapes, smooth surfaces, soft lines;
- easy composition, interior items can replace each other;
- proportional lines, elements of various ethnic and classical shapes;
- built-in wardrobes, various racks and shelves.
