HIGH TECH

High-Tech (from high technology) - a style that arose at the end of the XX century, and its main features are the most functional use of space and quiet decor. This style is characterized by swift, straight lines, an abundance of glass and metal details.

High-Tech interior design is somewhat reminiscent of a spaceship - metal surfaces, an abundance of plastic, modern equipment, futuristic furniture. Therefore, it doesn’t come as a surprise that High-Tech interior design is very popular among young, energetic people, striving to keep up with the times.

Modern High-Tech interiors are built on a combination of space and light, promoting the aesthetics of the material and texture used. It uses structures typical of industrial buildings. Technological design is everywhere: ceilings, walls, floors, stairs, windows, and doors. In furniture and utensils, technical forms of objects and materials associated with technology are used: stainless steel and chrome-plated surfaces, bent metal pipes, rotating seats, modification of levels. Ideally, curtains are replaced with blinds. Dishes - chrome-plated, shiny, simple and concise forms, with expressive design.

A High-Tch interior is characterized by ascetic design, maximum rationality and the utmost conciseness of forms, and the absence of seams. Preference is given to large monolithic forms, ideally processed surfaces. Open brickwork, ceramic tiles and natural stone, plaster or liquid wallpaper, laminated wood, stretch ceilings are possible.

High-tech is very sensitive to any presence of a foreign object. Decorative excesses such as parquet, colorful wallpaper, molding, floral patterns, etc. are not welcomed. It’s exactly one of the main difficulties of this style, as it doesn’t tolerate negligence, and everything must be just perfect. In one word - nothing in excess.

Upholstered furniture in high-tech interior design is perfect - simple geometric shapes with plain upholstery. An excellent solution could be a transforming sofa, consisting of modules that allow you to change its shape. Instead of conventional furniture, shelving modules with closed and open sections are used. All appliances are built-in, tables and shelves are made of glass, and chairs have metal legs and backs. Doors and partitions are mainly made of unbreakable glass, frosted or transparent.

The complete absence of decor is compensated by the way materials work: light falling on glass, chrome, wood polish. One of the accents in High-Tech aesthetics are lamps. In High-Tech, light is almost the only way to add variety and create coziness.

In addition to general lighting, we use numerous wall and floor, built-in furniture, spot, rail and other lighting fixtures, as well as light sources on brackets, cables and all kinds of other structures. Lighting can be placed in the most unexpected surfaces: at floor level or in tiers of multi-level suspended ceilings.
