BUNGALOW

"Bungalow" - a one-story house with a flat roof and an extensive veranda, with an elegant rustic decor. Its history originates in the Indian province of Bengal. One-story, eighteenth-century thatched-roof huts were adapted by the British for colonial officials on holiday in the Himalayas. Inspired by army tents, English cottages and exotic Persian verandas, the designers of the first bungalows placed bedroom, kitchen, dining room and bathroom around a central living room and thus established a new fashion for this style.

The bungalow's interior design uses natural local materials and earthy colors. That is why the bungalow is still associated with rural idyll, and is considered almost a symbol of nature. At first glance, the modest decor of this style is the ideal of most people - a small single-family house, with a beautiful garden, a real place to relax, quiet and peaceful. That is why Bungalow style is often used to decorate interiors of coastal hotels and inns.
